Step into a storybook world of sacred legends, a serene temple, a charming café, and vibrant floral artistry. This exclusive trip combines spiritual heritage, local flavors, and natural beauty — perfect for travelers who want to slow down, soak in the real Chiang Mai, and connect with its rich culture and peaceful rhythms.
Our trip begins with a journey up the forested slopes to Wat Phra That Doi Kham - Temple of the Golden Mountain, a hidden gem perched atop a quiet mountain, offering panoramic views over Chiang Mai. Often overshadowed by its more famous neighbor, Wat Doi Suthep, this peaceful temple invites reflection and awe.
The Chedi - dated back to 687 B.E. - is one of the oldest in the region, this ancient pagoda enshrines a relic of the Buddha — said to be a strand of his hair gifted to two mythical giants he converted to Buddhism.
Don't miss the giant striking seated Buddha image and the chance to make a wish to Luang Por Tan Jai, the “instant success” Buddha. Just one wish is allowed — choose wisely! If your wish is granted, tradition says you must return with jasmine garlands, in multiples of 50. (You'll see plenty of flower vendors around!)
Insider Tip : Ask a monk about the correct number of offerings and the ritual — many are happy to guide you.
After the wonderful spiritual encounter we’ll take a break at the cozy Ban Suan Café — a romantic, rustic gem nestled in lush gardens, with a gentle stream trickling right through the property.
Wander through their organic garden, so you can understand their sustainable "Farm to Table concept", admire the decor, and then settle down for a relaxing moment by the water. Their Thai tea is a standout, and you can pair it with a simple one-dish lunch made with fresh ingredients. Think countryside charm meets slow living — the vibe of this place is the perfect spot to recharge.
Optional Stop : Doi Kham Organic Produce Shop - Founded on His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s aspiration to combat poverty and improve the lives of people in Northern and Northeastern Thailand's highlands, Doi Kham established Royal Factories in agricultural zones. These factories purchased local farmers' produce, processing it into high-quality, healthy products at fair prices. As a Social Business, Doi Kham remains dedicated to the continued well-being of the Thai population.
Our final stop is a feast for the senses — Royal Park Rajapruek, Chiang Mai’s lush botanical wonderland and a showcase of global garden design and Thai royal heritage.
The Ho Kham Luang Royal Pavilion, a grand Lanna-style structure in the center, honors King Bhumibol’s legacy through beautiful murals and exhibitions. The stunning Orchid Garden is a must-visit for flower lovers, featuring rare and exotic orchids. Wander through themed gardens created by countries from around the world — each with its own cultural twist. (Don’t miss the Japanese and Bhutanese ones!)
